On the Mississippi Gulf Coast the deep clean has three specific enemies. Humidity, first and hardest -- about 63 inches of rain a year, a wettest month in July, summer highs in the high 80s and an all-time record of 107 degrees in August 2023 -- which is why grout, bathroom ceilings, extractor fans and closet corners come back again and again. Salt air, second, which films glass and fixtures anywhere near the water and makes a washed window look wrong within days. Sand, third, which travels further into a house than anyone expects and settles in tracks, thresholds and carpet edges.

Deep Cleaning vs. Regular Cleaning
Regular cleaning keeps a house from sliding backward: surfaces wiped, floors vacuumed and mopped, bathrooms and kitchen kept sanitary. It is maintenance, and it is scoped accordingly.
Deep cleaning moves the baseline. We pull the stove out and clean the wall behind it. We take the covers off vents rather than dusting around them. We scrub grout instead of mopping over it. We break down blinds slat by slat and clear window and slider tracks with a brush rather than a cloth. It takes several times longer than a maintenance visit, which is exactly why it is not something you need every month.
Deep Cleaning for Humidity, Salt Air and Sand
Three conditions define cleaning on this coast, and between them they explain why bathrooms and glass take more abuse here than people moving in from a drier climate expect.
Humidity is the first and the most persistent. Roughly 63 inches of rain a year and a long, hot summer mean bathrooms never fully dry out on their own, grout lines discolor, extractor fans clog with dust that then holds moisture, and closets and shaded corners develop a film that a wipe-down does not remove. In a deep clean we give that real time: grout scrubbed line by line, fan covers pulled and cleaned, and the surfaces around showers and tubs treated rather than passed over.
Salt air is the second. Anywhere near the water it leaves a film on glass, mirrors, fixtures and hardware, which is why a window can be washed and still look wrong. Sand is the third, and it hides: thresholds, slider tracks, screen channels, the carpet edge just inside a door, and the base of the shower. We treat all of it as its own set of tasks rather than something to catch on the way past.
To be straight with you about the limits: we clean interior glass thoroughly and vacuum carpets as part of a deep clean, but we are not a carpet-extraction, pressure-washing or window-washing company. If what your house actually needs is a carpet extraction or an exterior wash, we will tell you that instead of taking your money for a partial answer.
