Then a walkthrough against the written checklist before we leave, and a plain account of anything cleaning genuinely cannot fix.

Moving in is the same job from the other end. A unit that has sat empty for a few weeks in this climate keeps collecting the whole time, and the only moment some of it is reachable is before your furniture arrives.
