That imbalance is the whole story of cleaning here. Springdale has a moratorium on new short-term-rental business licences: no new permits, no waitlist, existing licences grandfathered and transferable with the property. The moratorium exists because nightly rentals were consuming the town's limited housing stock and making it nearly impossible for local workers to find somewhere affordable to live. We will be honest about that drive, because it is the reason most cleaning companies skip this town. Springdale is about 42 miles from St. George, roughly 45 minutes, on State Route 9 through Hurricane, La Verkin, Virgin and Rockville. In season that road carries park traffic on top of everybody else. The free Springdale town shuttle runs the length of the main road to the pedestrian park entrance, which means guests frequently park once and never move the car again -- and it means a property's front walk, entry and windows are the first and last thing they see all week.
