The geography is a narrow strip between the ocean and the marsh, with the beach-house grid running back from Ocean Boulevard and Garden City Point at the south end where the peninsula thins out. The Pier at Garden City runs about 668 feet out, with a bar and live music through the season; it was rebuilt in 1992 after Hugo destroyed the old Kingfisher Pier in 1989. The town also straddles the Horry and Georgetown county line, which is why its mail splits between two ZIP codes.
Cleaning here is mostly beach-house work: multi-story rentals with high bed counts, decks and outdoor showers, sand in every stair tread, and Saturday-to-Saturday changeovers through peak season. Alongside it are the year-round households and the second-home owners who come down for stretches and want the place opened up before they arrive and closed down after they leave. Off-season deep cleans matter more here than most people expect, because a property that sits empty through a humid winter does not stay as it was left.

Garden City is the clearest example on this coast of why shared ZIP codes are normal rather than a mistake. The north end mails through 29575 with Surfside Beach; the south end mails through 29576 with Murrells Inlet; the county line runs through the middle of it. Nothing about that is broken, and any service that tells you your address is invalid has simply never worked here. What it does mean in practice is that "Garden City" can point at two different ends of a long, thin town, so when you send a quote request, the street name tells us more than the ZIP does.
