Fountain is the largest incorporated suburb in this market, with 29,802 residents at the 2020 Census -- nearly double the 15,197 it had in 2000. It sits ten miles south of downtown Colorado Springs with Fort Carson directly adjacent to the west, and it has been growing on the back of that adjacency ever since.
