Our Story
Kiwi Cleaning Services started in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas with one idea: a cleaning company should tell you exactly what it is going to do, do that, and stand behind it. Everything we built came out of that -- the written 42-point checklist, the Kiwi Clean Guarantee, and quoting the home in front of us instead of reading a number off a price list.
Colorado Springs is a new market for us, and we say so plainly rather than arriving with a stack of claims we have not earned here yet. What we bring is the part of the business that does not depend on tenure: a checklist every visit follows, eco-friendly products that are safe around kids and pets, all our own supplies and equipment, and a free re-clean within 24 hours if a job is not right.
We did the homework before we opened here, because this is genuinely a different cleaning problem. On the Gulf Coast, humidity grows mildew. At 6,011 feet in a semi-arid climate with 243 sunny days and about 16 inches of precipitation a year, dry air and fine mineral dust mean constant surface dust, static on floors and screens, and hard-water spotting on glass. Add roughly 32 inches of snow a season, a snowiest month of March that surprises newcomers, and Chinook freeze-thaw cycles that pull grit and ice melt indoors, and the checklist ends up spending its hours in completely different places than the Texas version does.
The area we cover runs about 2,500 vertical feet, from Fountain and Security-Widefield on the south side up through Monument at 6,982 feet and Woodland Park at 8,465. Five military installations and more than 350 service members transitioning out every month make move-in and move-out cleaning a core service here rather than a seasonal one. The tourism that fills Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City and the Ute Pass corridor makes short-term rental turnovers a working part of the week. And the defense, healthcare and campus employers around the region make commercial and janitorial work a real line of business, not a checkbox.
Every page on this site exists in Spanish as well as English, and quote requests and scheduling can be handled in either. If we would not do it in our own house, we do not do it in yours.
