Move-Out Cleaning for Fort Campbell Off-Post Housing

Fort Campbell has more than 30,000 active-duty Soldiers assigned to it and roughly 51,000 family members, against about 4,557 family housing units and 9,838 barracks spaces on post. The arithmetic only works one way: about two-thirds of assigned Soldiers and their families live off post, on civilian leases in Montgomery or Stewart County in Tennessee or Christian or Trigg County in Kentucky. When orders come through, those leases end, and somebody has to clean the house before the walkthrough.

That is the job this page is about. We clean the property empty wherever possible, against the list a walkthrough actually checks: inside the oven and refrigerator, inside every cabinet and closet shelf, bathroom grout, baseboards, window tracks, light fixtures, interior glass and the garage floor. We want to be plain about one limit rather than let you discover it on the day. Unescorted access to the installation for non-DoD personnel requires an installation access pass and a background check arranged through the Visitor Control Center, and we have not completed that process.
