Within sight of the Indian River Lagoon or the Atlantic, salt film builds on glass and fixtures until a quick wipe just smears it.

Tracks, screens and thresholds get real attention, because that is where pollen, sand and damp collect. Bathrooms get the humidity treatment they need rather than a surface pass. And where a house sits open to sea air, we treat fixtures and hardware for salt as a matter of routine instead of waiting for someone to complain about spotting.

A great many homes on this coast are not lived in year-round, and a great many cleaning arrangements here are made by somebody who is not in Florida at all. Both are completely normal to us. We handle the close-up clean before you leave, a recurring visit while the house sits empty, and the open-the-house clean before you or your guests arrive -- and we tell you plainly what we found, because a house that has been shut through a Florida summer occasionally has news in it.
