Navarre is the second largest community in the Pensacola metro and the busiest suburb we serve after Milton. The census-designated place counted 40,817 residents in 2020 and has grown since; ZIP 32566, which is the way most people here describe where they live, counts about 44,400. It sits roughly 25 miles east of Pensacola on US-98, with SR-87 running north toward Milton and the East Bay and Yellow River systems shaping the land on either side.
It is a bedroom community in the most literal sense, and an unusual one. Navarre fills with military families, federal civil servants, retirees and defense contractors -- some tied to NAS Pensacola and the Whiting outlying fields, many more commuting east to Hurlburt Field and Eglin. That mix produces a specific cleaning market: households that value a schedule they can set and forget, and a steady undercurrent of move-ins and move-outs driven by orders rather than by anyone's decision to sell.
The housing stock is mostly 1990s and newer -- open plans, big kitchens, tile and luxury vinyl through the main areas, carpet in the bedrooms. Close to the water, salt air and humidity do the same work here that they do on the islands: window film, grout that never quite dries, and tracks that collect sand from every trip over the causeway.
