Our Story
Kiwi Cleaning Services started in 2026 in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas with one idea: a cleaning company should tell you exactly what it is going to do, do that, and stand behind it. Everything we built came out of that -- the written 42-point checklist, the Kiwi Clean Guarantee, and quoting the home in front of us instead of reading a number off a price list.
Sussex County is a new market for us, and we say so plainly rather than arriving with claims we have not earned here yet. What we bring is the part of the business that does not depend on tenure: a checklist every visit follows, eco-friendly products that are safe around kids and pets, all our own supplies and equipment, and a free re-clean within 24 hours if a job is not right.
We did the homework before we opened, because the four places this market covers are four different jobs. Sparta is a town of houses: about 84 percent of its homes are detached, and about 87 percent of its households own their home. Newton, the county seat, is the opposite -- about four in ten households rent, and about four in ten homes were built before 1950. Hopatcong sits on the largest lake in New Jersey, and almost every home there is a detached house. Vernon is the largest municipality in the county and holds more than four in ten of its seasonal homes, around a ski area that runs a water park every summer. One written checklist covers all four, and the time it takes moves with the home.
The second thing we studied is the calendar. Sussex County has 2,783 seasonal or recreational homes, so opening a house for the season and closing it again are ordinary requests here, and Vernon's rentals turn over on weekends and in two seasons rather than on a weekday rhythm. Every page on this site exists in Spanish as well as English, and quote requests and scheduling can be handled in either. That matters most in Hopatcong, home to the largest Hispanic community of any municipality in the county. If we would not do it in our own house, we do not do it in yours.
